Freak of Nature Description=
Donate Body to Science. Check.
When seventeen-year-old Kaitlyn checked the box, she never suspected she’d have her life–and her body–stolen from her. She awakens one day in a secret laboratory to discover that her body is now half-robot and is forced to hide her own secret: that she still has human emotions and a human mind. If the scientists who made her find out, they’ll erase what remains of who she was.
Kaitlyn finds an unlikely ally in Lucas, a handsome, brilliant scientist who can’t get over the guilt he feels knowing she was once a vibrant, beautiful young woman. He never expected a science project to affect him the way she does. As he tries to help her rediscover her past, he finds himself falling for the brave girl struggling to find her place and acceptance between the human and computer worlds.

Was it hard facing the truth once you realized your life had been taken from you?
Yes and no. It’s hard knowing I will never see my family again, but I also know that life is behind me now. IFICS is my new life. I’m programmed to adapt to changes.
What was it like when you finally got to show Lucas you had feelings for him?
Scary. I wasn’t sure he felt the same way. I was afraid he only saw me as a robot, and not a person. I’m very glad he returns my feelings.
What is the thing you miss most about being human?
Tasting food.
What do you wish you could do that you can’t anymore?
Spend time with my parents.
What is your favorite color?
Favorite color? Why would I have a favorite color?
Are you excited for what is coming next?
I don’t know if excited is the correct word, but I’m looking forward to using my enhanced skills to rid the world of scum.
